CTF Curated | Melbourne is an exciting new initiative from the Council of Textile & Fashion.

CTF Curated has consulted with new labels, established textile businesses, council, business development bodies, fashion festivals and more to pull together a rich program for labels and a series of exciting shopping opportunities for your valued customer!

Aiming to support local emerging fashion and textile businesses, the program consists of mentoring, business development workshops and a series of popup retail events.

For CTF Curated labels, this means support in building their business savvy and retail experience, as well as fashion specific mentorship to keep them on track.

For locals and visitors to Melbourne it means a special opportunity to connect directly with designers and makers of local labels you love, and maybe meet some new favourites along the way.

The Council of Textile & Fashion (CTF) continue to grow Curated Melbourne in May and June, this time at two of Melbourne CBD’s prime retail locations, the Emporium 和 St. Collins Lane.

What is Curated Melbourne?

CTF Curated launched earlier this year as a program for emerging Fashion & Textile (F&T) businesses. CTF was approached by these companies who identified that the areas they needed help with the most were mentorship, targeted and practical training and exposure to retail. What came of these early consultations was Curated, a program with each of these elements, organised around a series of “department store” retail experiences each year. As the name suggests, the range is carefully curated and offers everything from children’s to men’s and women’s wear to jewellery and accessories.

Why the Council of Textile & Fashion?

As a not for profit, independent membership body, and the peak industry body for Australia’s Fashion & Textile sector, we represent businesses from across the Australian textile and fashion supply chain. Our core mission is to help the local industry grow, and we see supporting emerging labels and designers as a key part of that ecosystem.

Support for the program has been broad with the involvement of a stellar lineup of mentors like John Condilis (Nobody Denim), Courtney Miller (Australian Fashion Chamber), Graeme Lewsey (VAMFF), Carla Woidt (Country Road), to name a few.
